I've been hearing a lot about Yao Ming playing for the Chinese Basketball team in the Olympics. He's been in the U.S for the past five years on a B visa and is still a Chinese citizen.
Yao is probably China's best-known athlete and has lucrative contract deals with some huge Olympic sponsors like McDonald's and Coca-Cola. It's been rumored that Yao is earning around $25 million in sponsorship deals and is being hailed as a Chinese hero. I understand that since he's a Chinese citizen, it makes since for him to represent his home country. So, what do you think about Yao Ming playing for the Chinese team. Is it wrong for him to keep living and working in the U.S without becoming a citizen and representing the United States?
