April 8 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time - or 12 p.m. for those of you in the Eastern Time Zone. Starbucks will
give you a complimentary short (8 oz.) cup of the brand new Pike Place Roast.

Chairman and Chief Executive Howard Schultz said the new blend will have a bold, robust flavor profile
that customers have come to expect of Starbucks coffee, but with a smoother, buttery finish.

Customers can enjoy the newest blend for free as they participate in a simultaneous, nationwide,
coast-to-coast, coffee tasting contest by Starbucks coffee experts.

It will be brewed, both regular and decaf, alongside rotating coffees of the week, and sold by the
whole bean for $9.95 per pound.

I ran down to my nearest coffeshop for some free Starbucks today after hearing the good news. To my dismay they filled my dixie cup with about three ounces of the stuff. (new south american blend)
