Default Myspace Adds Friend Updates

Myspace has recently gotten wise to the rapidly diminishing market share between themselves
and rival Facebook. In an attempt to compete with Facebook you should look for Myspace to
unveil a host of new services and features to maintain their lead as top social networking site.

One of the new features Myspace has started using is Myspace Top Friend Updates.

Now every time your top friends update their Myspace blog or profile you receive a
notice on your own profile. This will no doubt increase the interaction with your top
friends and make it easier to see what they’ve been up to.

This is all the more reason to use the Myspace blog to continue to get the word
out to your friends and contacts.

Now we just need to see what Myspace intends to do with applications and widgets.

Default Myspace Vs. Facebook

I get a lot more people adding me on myspace than on facebook. I'm not sure why. Is that typical or am I missing something?

Default Myspace Versus Facebook

Myspace seems to have a more "open network." For instance you can easily see inside most profiles
to check them out and add friends. However, Facebook does not have the same feature, which keeps
the friend adding to a minimum.

The best way to get the friends going on Facebook is to join some groups or better yet, start your
own group about a popular topic that interests you.

Then when someone joins your group you can say, " I noticed you just joined, 'the group,' so I
thought I'd add you to my friends list. Are you actively involved with," the group activity?"
Best regards, "your name"

If you don't want to start your own group you can join some groups and send some friend requests
to the members there. Saying something like, I noticed you we're part of, "the group." Looking for
friends with some of the same interests in "the activity" as me. Best regards, "your name."
