Default Motivation Techniques

Knowing effective self motivation techniques is at the core of real self improvement. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes a loss,
fear of loss, illness or pain before we realize we really do need to get motivated.

For instance getting bad grades in school can make us realize how important it is to study. A humiliating experience can push us
to want to stand up for ourselves to avoid similar situations in the future. A job loss or too much bad debt can remind us just how
we need to improve the financial situation we face.

Having a troubling experience can act as a wake up call that helps give the initial push that puts the seed of change in our minds.

Whether it's a bitter experience, an inspiring book, a tragic story or something far worse, the bad thing can be the catalyst that
will help us get up and provide the motivation we need in order to improve.

The problem is that this fear often fades over time and we find ourselves falling back into the same routines of inactivity that
leads to more despair. With all of the negative influences every day we need to continue to use specific motivation techniques to
keep us focused on our goals.

how do we keep motivated? Here are some effective motivational techniques you can use to stay focused:

1. Believe in yourself, and in what you can do.

2. Never give up and never give in. Thomas Edison failed again and again and again before he invented and perfected his
incandescent light bulb.

3. Look at the world from different angles and perspectives. Motivation is fueled by determination. To be able to understand your
life, you need to look at it from an outside perspective.

4. Avoid negative influences, people, places and things. Eleanor Roosevelt had a saying that said “the future belongs to those who
believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

5. The key to success is being yourself. Trying to please everyone is the key to failure! Do not try to please everyone.

6. Do things you love and work as if you don’t need money. Love as if you never cried. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Learn as if
you’ll live forever. Real motivation can take place when you are happy by knowing your passions and what you want.

7. Love your self. The law of attraction works by thinking about the things you want in your life. Know that you deserve greatness
and expect it.

8. Go the extra mile and overdeliver with effort. Give more than what is enough and you'll find things begin to improve at home,
in relationships and at work.

9. Cherish your family and friends. Let them know how important they are to you and surround yourself with people who have
your best interests at heart.

10. Ignore negativity. Don’t associate with people who wish to bring you down. Stay away from toxic people and their discussions.

11. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes. Make things happen.

12. Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

13. Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

14. Remember your uniqueness. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence and spend your
time wisely with people who value you.

15. Perfect practice makes perfect. Practice doing things the right way can have a huge impact on your motivation. Repeat the
actions that get results and eliminate the actions that give little or no results.

16. Be different from the herd. Differentiating yourself is the perfect way to compete in a crowded marketplace. Embrace what
makes you unique and trust yourself to make the right decisions.

17. Play fair and never cheat, lie or steal. You do want good Karma to come your way, right?

18. Choose to be a winner. Those who quit never win. And winners never quit.

19. Preparation plays a big part in motivation. It's hard attempting a task without being prepared. In fact you'll most likely try to avoid
the things you're not ready for. Meet these actions head on by being ready for them.

20. Stop procrastinating. It's easy to put things off, visualize the reward you can give yourself after the task is completed.

21. Dreaming means believing. Belief is something that is rooted out from the beginning of motivation and self improvement.

22. Take control of your life. Discipline or self control is in sync with motivation. The two together are key factors in self
improvement.

23. Focus in on your dreams and make them happen.
