I notice you had a thread about LOA podcasts, but not one specifically for discussing the theory itself.
I'd like to hear people's experiences with this. If you're not aware of it I recommend you watch The Secret. I have found one rule to be consistent. You must feel how you would feel if you had what you wanted already. To wish for it is to just see it as being in the future. Do that and that's where it will stay - in the future. As a result I've found that being happy as much as possible is extremely important. (I wrote an article on Helium about staying happy: Tips on how to boost your attitude - Self-Help (Other) - Helium) While you're happy, the vibrations you send out attract more things that make you happy. I know the law of attraction is pretty slated because of its scientific ambiguity. I mean, it's apparently based on quantum physics, which, lets face it, isn't exactly the most understood science anyway so anything could be claimed to be based on it. I'd like to know what people think of its credibility. I personally am a huge sceptic of things like that but I do feel there has to be something in this theory.

Stuart, I really liked your helium article. Nice job.
Personally, I believe the law of attraction is true. I was reading an article that said every living object in the universe has its own vibration. (need to find that article, but I'm sure it wasn't the lastest tabloid ) I'm also a musician, so I know that sympathetic vibrations do occur. For example, when you're at a football game and the low brass in the band makes your bench vibrate. Or when a tuba player plays a note and the snare drum starts rattling. These are common musical occurances of sympathetic vibrations. I've heard more far out theories that our internal organs resonate with specific instruments, which is why some people are more partial to certain instruments than others. That's where music therapists and healing through music comes in. Anyway, thoughts are said to have vibrations of their own. So it would make sense that there are sympathetic thought-vibrations with other thoughts. I'm definitely no quantum physicist, so there's my "simple-man's" explanation of the law of attraction. ![]()
