I once went to a convention where the speaker asked (much in the fashion of an emphatic preacher on TV) "How many of you have read Think and Grow Rich?"

This was an MLM group, so of course the entire audience - about 1000 people - all raised their hands with an air of superiority.

Then he asked (enthusiastically yelled), "And how many of you have made the money you want to?"

Hands shot down and there was a collective gasp, as if we were all shocked and slightly offended that he dare rub our noses in the fact we weren't making the money we wanted.

Then he exclaimed, "Then you're missing something and you better go back and read and apply it. And if that doesn't work, you better do it again, and again, and again, and again. Because when you apply everything in this book, you will be rich!"

After that, the crowd roared, clapping and cheering. I will never forget his energy, enthusiasm, and conviction.
