World Internet Marketing Main Event

Hi everybody, just got back from the World Internet Main Event in San Francisco today. It was a full four day event held in South San Francisco, overlooking the bay.

I'd say some of the biggest names in Internet Marketing turned up. One of the best times I had was spending a few minutes talking with Stephen Pierce.

I got to spend time with some really great people and put a face to the names I've been seeing plastered all over the internet.

Overall I have to say I'm very glad I had the opportunity to attend the event. While many of the seminar sessions were very basic, the real opportunity came to me in the form of networking and the mindset that I walked away with.

Personally, I realized some very important things this weekend. The number one major thing is it reinforced my belief that the best part about these seminar events is the networking opportunities.

The second major thing I left the seminar with, was a better understanding of the major players of internet marketing, their attitudes and dispositions. As well as the good and bad sides to the industry. (Some things are better left unsaid, sorry gossip seekers)

The third thing I left the seminar with (And Most Important) was a better understanding of myself. Where I'm currently at and where I want to go. It's a great feeling when you get that sense of heightened perceptions like I did this weekend.

The World Internet Marketing Main Event was definitely an eye opener for me. Now...I'm off and running, taking the next steps to continue providing my kind of online business. One that keeps a firm focus on providing value and being of service to my customers.

I just got back from the World Internet Main Event too... it was great seeing you there Matthew

The highlight of the event (aka. WIME) was getting to meet John Childers and Stephen Pierce (and of course seeing Matthew there too! )

This WIME was four days long in SanFrancisco. Since practically everyone stayed in the hotel the event was being held in (Marriot in Burlingame) it was easy to mingle, socialize, and network at any time.

I would guess there were about 350 people attending the WIME, and their professions varied. I met network marketers, people who created software, a few who created seminar speakers, copy writers, and TONS of people who hadn't ever had an online business and were ready to learn and get started. There were also some internet marketers there too.

As for the speakers, I was able to get a few golden nuggets from each speaker, so that was great. They always included their pitch in there too, but that was fine with me - talk about real-life modeling. Just by observation, I was able to pick up quite a few strategies of public speaking and closing the sale. Very interesting.

Overall, the World Interent Main Event was a great learning experience for me too.
