I posted today on my blog some helpful tips on using Twitter for your online marketing.
Here's some of the Twitter marketing tips in a nutshell:
- Each post you make is viewable in the Public Timeline unless set to private
- If you use a Wordpress blog then you can use a plugin to post your from Twitter to your blog or post from your blog to Twitter
- Install your twitter link where your friends or visitors can find it and sign up to follow you.
- Twitter marketing means at least once a day posting your comments on the service and communicating with everyone.
- You can ping Technorati with your Twitters for even more exposure
- Getting traffic from Twitter happens when you grow your social network of friends
- Think carefully about which Twitter name you select. Twitter keywords may possibly be valuable in the future and there still are plenty of good one word keyword domains left. I grabbed Twitter / paid
- Members need to begin following you before you can communicate directly with them
- Sending a nudge to a friend on Twitter reminds them that you're thinking about them
- Twitter is all about interaction, the more you post the more exposure, however post too much and your followers may become upset and stop following your Twitters
